East Jamaica Conference Education Department Rally for zones 1, 2 & 3, "People of Hope: Equipped for Now and Eternity", was held at the Constant Spring Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sabbath, January 23, 2010.
All conference-operated schools participated in the programme. The students of Woodford and New Hope Preparatory Schools led out in the Sabbath School programme, while the lesson study was reviewed by the students and teachers from Kingsway High & Preparatory Schools. Hagley Park School Choir was the sitting choir with splendid spirit-filled renditions for divine hour.
Special guest speaker, Pastor Michael Henry, assistant to the administrators of North East Jamaica Field with special responsibilities for Youth and Education and pastor of the Boundbrook District of Churches, delivered a heart-burning message, "What is the worth of your stew?" Pastor Cornell Jackson, Executive Secretary of East Jamaica Conference extended greetings on behalf of the conference. The principals of our schools also reported briefly their successes and vision for Adventist Education in the constituency.
The support from the schools was encouraging as a number of students and teachers were present and participated in the parade of the schools. Along with some education promoters from the local churches in the zones represented, a number of parents were also in attendance. We undoubtedly received the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and had a mountain top experience.
